Health and Safety Policy
Essex Employment Inc. are truly committed to achieving the highest level of health and safety management and performance in order to protect our staff, clients, contractors and any other individual who could be impacted by our actions and activities.We genuinely think that all accidents, injuries and illnesses related to the workplace are preventable and aim to achieve our 'No Harm' objective by making health and safety a top priority in all our business activities. This statement identifies the obligations of employer under the Canada Labour Code, Part II and related regulations. To achieve this, we will:·
- Monitor our performance on frequent basis and revise our Health and Safety Management System as necessary to achieve our objective of continuous improvement.·
- Ensure that the Management and Workforce take personal ownership of safety on daily basis.·
- Provide adequate resources to identify and evaluate safety risks, with the aim to eliminate hazards or reduce to an acceptable level.·
- Consult and discuss health and safety issues with employees, contractors, visitors and any other affected persons and bring this policy to their attention.·
- Ensure all employees are competent to undertake their tasks.·
- Ensure that all Contractors have appropriate and consistent procedures in place for the operations and services provided to the Company or its customers by those Contractors.·
- Provide adequate information,instruction, training and supervision to enable all staff to do their work safely, to avoid hazards and to contribute positively to their own health and safety at work.·
- Commit to comply with all relevant legislation and associated codes of practice.·
- Promote an open attitude to Health and Safety issues by encouraging staff to identify and report hazards, so all of us can contribute to creating and maintaining a safe working environment.·
- Regular monitoring and reviewing of the health and safety management at work, making necessary changes and bringing those to the attention of all staff.·
- Ensure that responsibilities for Health and Safety are assigned, agreed, monitored and fulfilled.
